This boutique Chicago agency’s forte is bringing brands to life, crafting stories and visuals that connect and inspire. As the lead Creative Director, I guided clients and internal teams through the development of impactful, strategically sound work across industries and channels.
Whether crafting memorable brand names, building identity systems, multi-channel marketing campaigns, or user-centric web experiences, we created work that stood out and resonated with target audiences.
For their 30th anniversary, this Chicago architecture firm approached Mauge to help them update and refresh their identity. We developed a new messaging framework and web experience to support their vision and drive future recruiting and business development. We took a rigorous, grid-driven approach, with cues from their efficient architectural style: clean lines and a clear purpose that make it easy for users to find their destination.

In 2018, Milwaukee saw a surge of well-paid workers attracted to a growing creative scene and affordable cost of living. Sensing an opportunity, local developers acquired a long-vacant office midrise, and Mauge won the RFP to develop the identity of the Class A apartment tower, The Buckler. The name references the local Milwaukee Bucks and the building's history.

When the client approached us with the opportunity to brand the first rental community on Chicago's Magnificent Michigan Avenue since 1980, we knew the project required a unique and impactful identity with personality. The client chose the name "Mila" as it best embodied that character - sophisticated and feminine, while also being shorthand for the building's location at the intersection of Michigan and Lake Avenues.

Our task was to revitalize the identity of Onterie Center, a neglected but architecturally significant SOM high-rise in Streeterville, Chicago. A change in ownership brought in new management with a mandate to overhaul and remarket the building, with an eye toward young, transitional residents and the commercial tenants that catered to them. The ask included a new identity, brand, environmental graphics, and marketing collateral.

Redmoon Theater was known for its imaginative, large-scale approach to public theater. And like every non-profit, funding is crucial to continued success. We were asked to develop an assessment document geared toward institutional investors. The result is a vibrant, graphic approach to telling the Redmoon story and communicating their guiding principles.
